Who we are and why the Jam Hub
So heres the scoop! We are the Killin’ Time Band, four guys from Canada who are lucky enough to do what we love for a living with a little help from a day job hahah. We average over 250 shows a year while working jobs, running business’s and raising families! Besides the band I run my own web & graphic design company, Koop is a sound tech & he runs the PA dept at a large Music retailer (where I work part time as well), Johnny is a successful photographer and Pauly builds and owns UDRUM custom drums. Since our last original release we have done over 700 shows killed a few drummers, some of us got married, had kids, bought houses all that creepy grown up stuff. So we are really excited to get to work on our next CD but I dont live in the dirty old party house with the allnight jam space in the basement anymore. Now I live in a two bedroom condo with my wife and my 18 month old daughter. So one day Koop and I are at work and this new Jam Hub product comes in and it seemed our solution was here, we rented an electronic drum kit and the next week we had my basement all set up to see if we can write an album Jamming with headphones on in silence instead of the way we have always done it with screaming amps and pounding drums. Stay Tuned cause we will be updating this page as often as we can with our experiences, opinions, and pro’s and cons about writing in silence with the Jam Hub.

The Jam Hub has been inspiring for creating new sounds, and I can see this being the way of the future for band rehearsal and writing sessions. We have been recording all of our sessions, which make for a great reference when going back to polish off what the band has come up with.
The last few weeks have taken our writing to another level, in the comfort of our band mate’s home, while his young daughter sleeps, which obviously works better for us rather than having to haul all of our gear to a rehearsal venue, and pay for that service. If you think about it, the cost of having to go to a studio would buy the band a Jam Hub after maybe 5-6 sessions, and the idea of this station being so portable is fantastic. I personally am a busy professional, and small business owner with a few employees. I can see this being a key tool in solving the time management issue for the busy musician, who often is trying to balance at times a chaotic work and family schedule in this demanding modern age. Looking forward to the next session with The Jam Hub…

An Ode to the JamHub!
Last week was yet another successful writing session with the Jam Hub, and we even incorporated a mention in one of our song lyrics… We had our good friend Bubba come out to do some video which we will be posting soon for those who wish to view the experience. Here’s looking forward to writing more music on our shiny, new, black Jamhub. Look for special guests in regards to our JamHub writing sessions, who we are hoping to get out to create with us in the near future…
